The chart shows the average number of total inmates per day during the same time frame. Looking back at the usage information for the last 10 years, a growth rate of 1.85 inmates per day, per year is indicated. The chart projects the possible jail population growth to the year 2040 using both 1.85 and a 1.00 growth rate. This was done to establish the number of beds the committee felt that would be needed for future requirements.
